Juventus fullback Patrice Evra has congratulated Barcelona striker Luis Suarez on his Golden Boot.

Evra and Suarez share a controversial past after the former Manchester United defender accused Suarez of using racially abusive language during a match between United and Liverpool in October 2011.

The Uruguayan forward would be found guilty of the act by the FA and given an eight-game suspension and £40,000 fine. Suarez disputed the decision and subsequently refused to shake Evra's hand when the two teams faced one another in February 2012.

However, on Instagram Evra posted: "In my Instagram there is only love and never hate!!!

"Luis, you're a great player and the best No 9. Congratulations Luis @luissuarez9. I love this game !!! hahahaah."
