West Ham United midfielder Kieron Dyer could be set for a comeback next week.

The London Evening Standard says Dyer, who broke a leg 16 months ago and then had to delay his return because of a stress fracture, is not quite ready to be involved in West Ham's vital Christmas matches, away at Portsmouth on Boxing Day and at home to Stoke next Sunday, but could be on the bench for the FA Cup third round tie at home to Barnsley on 3 January.
