West Ham winger Stanislas hoping to impress Grant

West Ham United winger Junior Stanislas is eager to catch the eye in tomorrow's friendly against Peterborough United.

Stanislas is an established member of the first-team squad but also knows he has to prove himself to new manager Avram Grant.

"It is nice to look forward to a game and match situations. It will be good to play again," he told WHUTV. "Training has been difficult but they are easing us into it gradually. It has not been too bad. We were off for a while, six or seven weeks I think it was, so it is good to be back on the pitch and start training again.

"I just want to play and get as much experience as I can under my belt. I'd like to score a few more goals, set up a few more goals and do my bit for the team. The new manager has been watching us a lot in training and getting a feel for what we like."
