West Ham told to up bid for Chelsea's Wright-Phillips

West Ham United must up their bid for Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.

The News of the World says the Hammers offered £11 million for Wright-Phillips last week, but a Blues source said: "There's no way he'll be sold for that amount." SWP has verbally agreed to West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson's 60,000-a-week deal, a sizeable pay-cut from his Chelsea terms, and the Hammers hope he will sign on the dotted line on his return from Vegas.
