West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola suffered a leg injury in defeat at Newcastle.

Areola had to be changed due to injury at half-time and gave way to the Pole Łukasz Fabiański.

Visibly suffering a leg injury, the 31-year-old goalkeeper had even stopped taking throws in the first period.

West Ham are expected to communicate the nature of his injury in the coming hours.
