West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic: We were on fire

West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic hailed their victory over Huddersfield on Saturday.

The Austrian scored in the 4-1 rout.

"I thought our performance was good, even in the first half, when we just couldn't complete the final pass," said Arnautovic. “We had a lot of space in front and we just always missed the last pass.

"But in the second half, it was just on fire and even then we missed some last passes. It could have been a festival for goals but unfortunately... not unfortunately, because we scored four goals so we are very happy because this was a massive win for us!"

The striker added: "We know that we have a lot of quality in the squad but the first ten or 12 games were not West Ham. We try hard, we work hard and first of all we try to defend and hold a clean sheet, then in front we have to be creative and score goals. We've done that in a couple of games now.

"We are doing well, but the season is not over. We've got some very hard games to come, so we're going to keep going."
