West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher is delighted he was allowed to stay this season.

The former Manchester United junior was due to be sent out on-loan before convincing manager Slaven Bilic he should be part of his squad.

Fletcher told whufc.com: “Yes, it was a huge confidence booster for me, knowing that the manager wants to keep me here [rather than send me out on loan].

"I appreciate his support and that can only benefit me going forward and hopefully I'll get more chances."
