West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola hopes to beat Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus for Livorno midfielder Antonio Candreva in the January transfer window. The 22-year-old is well known to the Hammers chief, who coached Candreva in the Italy Under 21 side before taking over at Upton Park just over a year ago.
Zola is considering making an offer of around £2m.
