West Ham United are being linked with Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.
Slimani has been a long-term target for Hammers boss Sam Allardyce and Record says interest has intensified since Andy Carroll's recent ankle injury.
The Geordie faces four months on the sidelines, so forcing West Ham back into the market for a new striker.
Slimani came close to joining West Ham in January on-loan and is back on their radar.
