West Ham resigned to losing Newcastle target Carroll

West Ham United chiefs are resigned to losing on-loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll at season's end.

The Sun says Upton Park top brass fear Carroll is determined either to prove himself at Anfield or rejoin old club Newcastle United instead of signing a £17m deal to stay in East London.

West Ham have an agreement with Liverpool, but nothing is settled with the player.
