West Ham remain keen to bring Malaga sports director Mario Husillos to London.

Husillos' hiring is an express request from new West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini, who worked with him while coach of Malaga.

AS says Malaga owner Sheikh al-Thani could belatedly release Husillos from his contract this week after he tendered his resignation a fortnight ago.

Pellegrini is convinced the Argentine can prove a huge coup for West Ham, with the sports director boasting great experience and expertise in working the South American transfer market.

Husillos has already told Pellegrini he is keen to join him in London - if he can get a release from his Malaga deal.
