West Ham United have told AS Roma to forget about a loan deal for Valon Behrami.
The Hammers are keen to offload Swiss international midfielder Behrami, 25, to generate funds for new signings.
But Italian Serie A outfit Roma have refused to meet the star's £3million price tag.
"Roma's idea of a loan is a joke," fumed a Hammers' official to the Mirror.
West Ham look set to be one of the busiest clubs before the window shuts.
They are juggling over 10 potential deals in a bid to land at least three or four targets after signing Inter Milan's Victor Obinna.
