West Ham refuse to pay over the odds for Olympiakos midfielder Kostas Fortounis.
The Mirror says West Ham have told Olympiakos they are prepared to pay £15m for Greece midfielder Fortounis.
But the Hammers will not be held to ransom over the 26-year-old, with Newcastle's Isaac Hayden still their preferred choice to bolster the engine room.
West Ham are looking to add at least one midfielder this summer as a priority, along with a defender and a striker.
But Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has limited funds available unless he can sell players.
