West Ham United are looking at other options after their pursuit of Gedson Fernandes has faltered.

The Hammers wanted to complete a quick deal for the box to box midfielder from the Portuguese club Benfica.

But it appears that Fernandes has other suitors, which means Benfica may look to cash in this winter.

A possible loan move to West Ham now seems unlikely, per The Guardian.

Fernandes is also linked with Manchester United and Lyon.

West Ham may move on to Sander Berge from Genk, while a move for Joe Allen from Stoke City has also been mentioned in the British press.
