West Ham United boss Alan Curbishley is set to bid for unsettled Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner in January.

The Mirror says Bendtner signed a new deal with the Gunners after a loan spell at Birmingham had created huge interest with some of Europe's leading clubs. But the ambitious young forward is upset at being overlooked this season.
