West Ham have moved ahead of West Brom in the race for Sporting CP midfielder Sebastian Battaglia.
O Jogo says several clubs are monitoring Battaglia's current situation in the Portuguese capital but the newspaper dismissed the Baggies' chances of securing a deal.
West Brom reportedly offered €15m to sign the 26-year-old in January, but Sporting demanded double the fee.
Roma, Napoli, Inter Milan and West Ham are all said to be interested in the player, with Battaglia's agent expected to meet Sporting in April to discuss his future.
