West Ham midfielder Soucek makes donation in Czech Republic

West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek has donated to a charity in the Czech Republic amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 25-year-old, who came from Slavia Prague in the country in January, is the most renowned Czech player currently in the game.

And it appears that he has joined with other Czech celebrities, such as former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech, in donating to Wave for Hope.

The charity is attempting to raise funds so they can buy medical equipment for nurses, doctors and other frontline staff as they battle the surge of COVID-19 patients.

Soucek, who is on loan at the Hammers, is not their only player to make a charitable donation recently.

Mark Noble also donated to his local borough Basildon.
