West Ham midfielder Collison upset for Arsenal kid Ramsey

West Ham United midfielder Jack Collison says the injury suffered by Arsenal starlet Aaron Ramsey is a big blow to Wales' Euro2012 hopes.

Ramsey, 19, is out for six months with a horrific broken leg sustained in a challenge with Ryan Shawcross at Stoke.

Collison, 21, said: "We are all devastated by the news and wish him a speedy recovery.

"I sent him a text and will try to speak to him in the next few weeks when things have calmed down a bit. He is very mentally strong, he works hard, and so he will be back soon.

"But his boots are massive boots to fill and he will be a big miss. He is a massive part of our team, and he would be in any team he plays in because he is so talented.

"We hope he gets his head down now and he will be back sooner rather than later. We can't wait to get him back out there."
