West Ham United have made a move for Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international, on £550,000-a-week at United, is on-loan this season with Inter Milan, which have no plans of retaining him.

FCInterNews.it says West Ham have made enquiries to sign Alexis this summer.

The Hammers have come forward and have been in touch with the winger's agent Fernando Felicevich to probe the possibility of signing him.

United will jump at the chance of clearing Alexis off the books, with little chance of the veteran finding a place in their plans next season.
