West Ham United legend Tony Cottee has welcomed the signing of new goalkeeper Darron Randolph.

Randolph was snapped up from Birmingham City.

Cottee said: "I believe Phil Parkes was instrumental in the signing, with the deal done on his recommendation. If the greatest keeper in our club's history is happy with Darren then he should prove to be a good signing.

"And we need him as back up to Adrian now Jussi Jaaskelainen is moving on."
