West Ham held to home draw by lowly West Brom

Monday night Premier League action saw an uninspired performance by both West Bromwich Albion and West Ham .

The match ended in a 0-0 draw at Upton Park in what has been described as a 'lifeless match'.

The Baggies went agonisingly close to a rare away win when Jonathan Greening missed an open chance but it wasn't to be and all they could do was edge one point closer to Middlesbrough at the foot of the table.

West Brom debutant Shelton Martis was impressive and almost scored in some good news for Tony Mowbray's side as West Ham could not bridge the gap on Everton and remain in sixth place on the table.
