West Ham United are ready to hand James Collison a bumper pay-hike.
The Sun says Collison is set to open talks with West Ham in the next week over a new five-year contract.
The blossoming Wales midfielder is just 12 months into his current deal but the Hammers are already renegotiating in order to cement the future of their rising star.
Collison, 21, earns only £2,000 a week despite being capped six times by his country.
But West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury is ready to rip up the star's agreement and hand him a huge pay rise. Talks are expected to be concluded within the next fortnight.
