West Ham goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański admits defeat midweek to Newcastle hit him hard.
The Pole was speaking after Saturday's win at Fulham - having come after their 5-1 thumping by Newcastle at London Stadium.
Fabianski said: "We're very happy.
“It was only about responding from what happened on Wednesday evening against Newcastle.
"It was a bit of a freak of a game for us and we wanted to bounce back and show we are much better than we showed on Wednesday. It's nice to be back quickly out there on the pitch and prove what happened on Wednesday night was more of an accident than what represents us.
“I must admit it was very challenging for me personally because obviously, I did not have a good game against Newcastle. It was challenging but at the same time, I believe it was good that this game came so quickly in the space of three days."
