West Ham face a fight to hold on to Swiss utility man Valon Behrami with Lazio and Roma circling, reports the Daily Mirror. The £10m-rated defender moved to Upton Park just 17 months ago for £5million and, despite suffering injuries has impressed.

Ironically, it was only last week that Behrami urged West Ham to come clean with any plans for a fire sale of star assets.

Cash-strapped West Ham, are currently being run by the Icelandic bank Straumurr.
