West Ham United are eyeing former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.
The Italian keeper is currently on-loan with Sampdoria from Palermo and still has over a year to run on his current deal.
TMW says Viviano can be signed permanently by Samp for €4.5 million, though that valuation is regarded as too steep.
West Ham have been in contact about taking Viviano back to London this summer.
The stumbling block, however, is Viviano would be reluctant to join the Hammers as only understudy to their No1 Adrian.
