West Ham defender Reece Oxford is excited by his loan move to Reading.
He will spend the rest of the season under the tutelage of Jaap Stam, who during a 15 year playing career won the Champions League with Manchester United and was rated among the top players in the world.
“One of the big reasons why I wanted to join Reading was Jaap Stam," Oxford told the Reading website. “Like Slaven Bilic said, he was one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and the world, so hopefully I can come here and he can teach me a few things.
“It is a bit out of my comfort zone, I've never been on loan! But it's good. I've been speaking to the boys and their helping me get to know the club. Hopefully I can get in the team and help the boys push up the table."
