West Ham United have initiated talks with AC Milan over a loan deal for M'Baye Niang.
The young striker spent the second-half of last season on-loan with Montpellier, but president Louis Nicollin decided against taking up the option to sign him permanently.
France Football says West Ham are now in contact about a new loan deal for Niang.
But as yet, no decision has been made about whether it should be to January, or for the entire season.
