West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has praised boss Sam Allardyce for re-introducing "the West Ham way" at Upton Park. Many of the club's fans complained last season about the style of play and called on Sullivan and co-owner David Gold to replace Allardyce.
But with a much-improved West Ham seventh in the Premier League, Sullivan said: "I believe we have the best squad since we've been at the club. We've signed some high-energy, younger players and we have discovered the West Ham way.
"He changed the style... and deserves the accolades because had it not worked he would have been castigated."
