West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan says they've made a bid for a new left-back.

Sullivan admit they're moving to replace Aaron Cresswell.

"With Aaron (Cresswell) unfortunately out for a few weeks, we have lodged bids in for a left-back, one of which was an £8m bid which was turned down on Thursday," he told the club's website.

"We will now decide whether or not we increase that bid."
