West Ham chairman denies push for Everton stars

West Ham United chairman Eggert Magnusson insists they haven't moved for any Everton players.

The Hammers have been linked with big money moves for Andy Johnson - figures of £20million were being suggested in the media - and his Goodison Park team-mates Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

But Magnusson says: "I've had a very positive discussion with my good friend Bill Kenwright, the Everton chairman, and can confirm that West Ham have not and are not bidding for any Everton player at this time."
