West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola is happy to see Alan Shearer in charge at Newcastle United.
"It is very positive when you have players that have given so much to the game and are still involved," Zola said.
"I'm sure he will do a good job. I'm a bit young to give advice but the only thing is to keep his philosophy even if the results are not coming.
"If you manage to keep your idea of football throughout everything you will be a winner."
Zola feels it is still possible for Newcastle to beat the drop, adding: "Look at us, we were two points from the bottom before playing Sunderland and Liverpool - nobody would have put a penny on us. The same can happen for Newcastle, as long as you have faith nothing is impossible."
