West Ham United boss Avram Grant doesn't believe Liverpool are interested in striker Carlton Cole.
The football grapevine suggests that Cole is up for sale, but Grant dismissed that talk.
He said: "I don't think so because we had an offer from Liverpool and the owners didn't want to sell him even though the club is desperate for money.
"The club has £110m of debt and we couldn't buy players. Even though we had no money they didn't want to sell him."
