West Ham United and Tottenham are chasing Shanghai Shenhua striker Nicolas Anelka.
The People says West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has been tipped off that Anelka wants to make a sensational comeback to England after a brief stay with super-rich Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
The former Chelsea striker is only a few months into his contract in Asia but sources close to the Frenchman have been in contact with several clubs about his availability.
West Ham boss Allardyce is very keen as Anelka played under him for Bolton for two seasons in 2006 and 2008.
But Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is also interested.
