West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has shrugged off criticism from Momo Diame following his departure to Hull City.
Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "Now I wish Mo all the best at Hull and I'll be seeing him on Monday when we play them at the KC Stadium. All I would say, though, is that he did tremendously well in his first season with us but never reached that standard again.
"He can criticise me all he likes but sometimes players need to look at themselves and the reality is that we couldn't play him in the central midfield position he likes most because there were other players doing better than he was.
"It's that simple."
