West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce was barracked by away fans during their FA Cup defeat at West Bromwich Albion.
Big Sam was subjected to vicious personal chanting from the 6,500 travelling supporters during the 4-0 thumping.
Allardyce said: "When you come and see the performance and it isn't as good as we have been this season the fans express their disappointment.
"I will defend the players as they couldn't cope with the fixture list."
