West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is upbeat about Andy Carroll's return from a heel injury.

Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "We're hoping Andy Carroll will be back with us training soon. There's still no date for his return but, from all the reports from Antwerp where he has been rehabilitating, he is making good, solid progress"
