West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce says a Bosman deal for Wigan Athletic fullback Maynor Figueroa isn't locked away.

Allardyce says they may struggle to land him if they don't secure their Premier League status for next season.

Allardyce told the Newham Recorder: "What we would be looking at is any player that might be available in the summer, if we stay in this league.

"When you look at what he's done at Wigan - and like everyone else he's refused to sign a contract - there will be a lot of clubs interested in him.

"We would be one of those clubs if that's the case."
