West Ham United have confirmed a deal for Brazilian striker Nene.
The 33-year old was a free agent after leaving Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa last month and has now penned a deal which will keep him with the Hammers for the rest of the campaign.
The east London club see Nene as a replacement for Andy Carroll who is set to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
Prior to his spell with Al-Gharafa, Nene spent time with Paris Saint-Germain where he netted 48 goals in 112 appearances in all competitions.
He also has a long history in Spain with the likes of Espanyol, Monaco, Celta Vigo, Alaves and Mallorca. The 2011/12 Ligue 1 top scorer also played for Paulista, Palmeiras and Santos in his homeland.
