West Brom defender Neil Clement says former gaffer Gary Megson can be proud of his achievements with Bolton Wanderers this season.

"I am pleased for Gary," said Clement, who was brought to the club on loan from Chelsea in March 2000, before completing a permanent move later that summer.

"He has shown again his battling qualities and that hunger he has got to succeed.

"He pulled Bolton out of trouble and credit to him for doing that.

"Their players have had to do it but he has played another big part in keeping a team up."
