West Bromwich Albion are on the brink of tying up a deal to sign Hearts striker Roman Bednar.
Bednar has scored 13 goals during his season-long loan with the Baggies who have until May 31 to exercise their first option on the Czech star.
And Hawthorn officials have confirmed that they will be taking up the option and have thrashed out a deal worth £2.5million with Hearts.
"West Brom really want Roman and we have been told they will exercise the option.
"Roman is very happy there and we are just putting in place his contract conditions. We want him to have a contract as a Premier League player and that is what we are discussing.
"It is a great opportunity for him to play at the top level in England, one o f the best leagues in the world."
Bednar is understood to be keen to agree terms and earlier this week confirmed he had enjoyed his stay at the Hawthorns.
"It is a place where I have been happy and I am still happy but until my future is sorted out properly we will just have to wait and see what happens," he said.
