West Bromwich Albion are prepared to be patient in their pursuit of Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.
The Birmingham Mail is reporting that West Brom's initial bid for Marshall was well short of Cardiff's asking price, believed to be in the vicinity of £5million.
Marshall is suspended for the opening three matches of the season, meaning neither club is in any rush to finalise a deal
Should Marshall make the switch to the Hawthorns, he will be available for their clash with Chelsea on August 23rd.
