West Bromwich Albion are set to extend the loan of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku into next season.

The People says this season's loan agreement contains a clause which will see him extend his time at The Hawthorns until 2014 and is triggered once he plays a certain number of games this campaign.

Chelsea, who will receive a loan fee, have already given their blessing for him to continue his development in the West Midlands beyond the end of this season, which the Belgian is happy to do.

Lukaku, an £18million buy from Anderlecht in August 2011, has scored nine goals in 26 appearances for West Brom.
