West Bromwich Albion are stepping up talks for Birmingham City defender Liam Ridgewell.
The Mirror says West Brom hope to win the race for Ridgewell.
Versatile Ridgewell, 26, is one of several Brum stars expected to leave after relegation.
The ace can play at left-back or centre-back and is rated by Baggies boss Roy Hodgson.
Brum are willing to do business for £3million and Albion have firmed up their interest.
