West Brom are standing by manager Tony Pulis.

Pulis was abused by away fans during defeat to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

During the match, chants of 'Tony Pulis, get out of our club', 'You're getting sacked in the morning', and 'Tony Pulis, your football is s**t' could be heard.

But the Express & Star says chairman John Williams visited the dressing room after Saturday's game as a sign of solidarity with his head coach.

He is planning to give Pulis more time, although matters could be taken out of his hands should owner Guochuan Lai call from China.

Lai's business model requires Albion to be a Premier League team, and he could pull the trigger if he deems that to be under threat.

However, there is a feeling at the club that there is a dearth of suitable alternatives out there who are available at the moment.
