West Bromwich Albion have opened talks with Claudio Ranieri regarding their vacant managerial position.
The Baggies will lose Roy Hodgson after the weekend's meeting with Arsenal after he was appointed as England boss last week and are looking to Ranieri to fill the void.
The Italian tactician is without a job after he was sacked by Inter Milan in late March with the Birmingham Mail reporting that Albion are holding discussions with him about the post.
Ranieri has previously managed in the Premier League when he spent about four years with Chelsea, prior to stints with Valencia, Parma, Juventus and Roma.
