West Bromwich Albion are understood to be preparing an offer in excess of £10million for QPR striker Charlie Austin.
The Telegraph is reporting that the departure of West Brom technical director Terry Burton has given manager Tony Pulis free reign to pursue his preferred transfer targets, and it is believed Austin is at the top of his list.
QPR are reportedly seeking £15million for Austin's services, but Pulis is confident his £10m club record bid, plus add-ons could be enough to lure the 25-year old, who scored 18 goals last season, to The Hawthorns.
