Craig Beattie was delighted to get on the scoresheet for West Brom in their 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
Back from a loan spell at Crystal Palace, Beattie told WBA's website: "We dug in and it was a massive three points for us. I was looking at the clock with half-an-hour to go and thinking 'come on gaffer'.
"He gave me the shout and said 'go on and get us a goal'. Thankfully, I managed to do that. I'm looking forward to getting more games at this level and hopefully scoring more goals.
"I had to come back from Palace because of an unfortunate injury to Ishmael (Miller). I'd like to wish him all the best - but it's an opportunity for me now.
"I just want to push on. I thoroughly enjoyed my spell at Palace. I got games and goals. Now I feel every time I go on the pitch I'm going to score. I probably shouldn't have made the run for the goal.
"The gaffer was shouting 'where are you going?!'
"But I just thought I'd go and try and finish the game off. Thankfully I did."
