West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has spoken of his pleasure at the way that striker Saido Berahino has dealt with the rumours linking him with a move away from The Hawthorns.

Tottenham have been heavily linked to the England U21 international with reports this week suggesting Spurs are set to return with a bid in the region of £15million.

However, Pulis has maintained that Berahino will be remaining with Albion and that his young striker is continuing to not let the transfer speculation distract him.

Pulis told Sky Sports News HQ: "Saido is Okay, there is always going to be speculation during the window."

"He's handled himself very well during the last couple of weeks and tonight in the game. He has shown great attitude and I think it was appreciated by all the West Bromwich Albion supporters."

Pulis was speaking after his side defeated Walsall 2-1 in their latest pre-season friendly where Berahino scored Albion's opener.
