West Brom News: Pulis retains board support; Sam Field 'dead chuffed' with new deal

West Brom boss Tony Pulis retains the support of the board going into their clash with Huddersfield.

Pulis has only won two of his last 19 league games going into last season.

But the Express & Star says though the Baggies hierarchy are concerned by the run, his position is not under any immediate threat.

Pulis penned a new deal to 2019 at the start of the season and is still supported by chairman John Williams.

Meanwhile, Sam Field is delighted with his new deal at West Brom.

The midfielder has penned an extension on his current deal to 2021.

"It's always an honour to play for West Brom and to get another year is just fantastic," Field said.

"The more years I can spend here the better. I'm dead chuffed!"

Field has made only two appearances this season, with competition fierce in central midfield after Tony Pulis signed Gareth Barry and Grzegorz Krychowiak over the summer.
