West Brom are eyeing Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

The Express & Star says the Baggies are due to battle Newcastle United for the signing of Slimani.

The Algerian international only joined Leicester last summer in a £28m deal, but has failed to light the King Power Stadium this past season.

That has piqued interest around the Premier League, with Albion eyeing the sizeable striker in a deal which could set them back a similar price to what the Foxes paid for him.

A return to Sporting CP has also been mooted for Slimani.
